Friends of the Museum


Purpose

               The Friends of the Museum is a plan of support for the Museum and is established under the incorporation of the Caldwell County Historical Society. Individuals, organizations, or businesses that make a financial contribution or in-kind gifts to the Museum shall be considered a member in the appropriate category based upon the amount of the contribution.  Presently, no meetings that members are expected to attend are planned.  Caldwell County Historical Society members can be Friends of the Museum by making a contribution to the Museum, and Friends who wish to become members of the Historical Society can become members by paying the Society's membership dues. 


Categories of Membership

Persons donating the following amounts shall be considered a member in the category according to the amount of their donation. Donations, which can be cumulative, are tax-deductible and may be in honor of or in memory of individuals.

Student  $ 10.00
(Full time students on any level.)
Senior Citizens        $     15.00
Donor  $  25.00-99.00 
Supporter  $  100.00-499.00
Patron  $  500.00-999.00
Conservator  $  1000.00-2499.00
Benefactor  $  2500.00-up



In-Kind Gifts

In-kind gifts may include donated items, including artifacts, that may be used by the Museum in any way the Museum Director or the Board of Directors sees fit.  The value of the item shall be determined by the fair value amount of the item if bought or sold.   


Membership

Membership is for the current calendar year and cumulates throughout the year.  Anything donated prior of January 1, 2004, will not be considered. 


Benefits of Membership

All members shall have their name listed in the appropriate category in a Museum newsletter to be established. Any time the membership category changes, the name shall be listed in the new category.

Students, Senior Citizens, and Donors shall receive a membership card and a certificate indicating the category of membership.

Contributors and Patrons shall receive a membership card, certificate indicating category of membership, and a 10% discount on items purchased from the museum except those items that cannot be discounted.

Conservators, and Benefactors shall receive a membership card, certificate indicating category of membership, a 10% discount on items purchased from the museum except those items that cannot be discounted, and a gift indicating category of membership.
