Hibriten's Southern Cultures Honors course for Juniors and Seniors explores the various qualities that make the South a distinct region. The major course emphasis is on the history and literature of the South. Other topics explored include politics, music, art, religion, social structure, race, food, story-telling, myth and superstition. (From the official course description.)

Some of the students' creative course projects will be on display at the Museum during
April and May 2011. The display includes object descriptions based on the students' research.
